Two Arrested Over Nugent Murder
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Edward Nugent in Dublin last month.
Mr Nugent, who was in his 60s, was shot outside a property on Harty Avenue, Walkinstown, on Sunday 15 February. He later died from his injuries.
Following planned searches this morning (3 March), involving gardaí from Crumlin and Sundrive and assisted by gardaí from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, two males were detained.
One is understood to be in his late 20s and the other is a juvenile.
They were taken Crumlin and Sundrive Road Garda Stations and have been detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007.

Man Arrested In Connection With Abduction And Assault Of Kevin Lunney
Gardaí investigating the abduction and assault of Kevin Lunney have made another arrest. The man, aged in his 50s, is currently detained in Cavan Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007. Mr Lunney, a director of Quinn Industrial Holdings was abducted and subjected to a prolonged attack in September 2019.

A man, aged in his 40s, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Kane McCormack. The body of Kane McCormack (24) was discovered in a field in Dunboyne, Co Meath in December, 2017. He had been shot to death and it is believed that the killing is linked to the Hutch/Kinahan feud.
