Printing Cap Enforced At Dublin City Council

New restriction on the amount of printing allowed by Dublin City Council has been approved by the Protocol Committee.

The committee was asked to review the council's use of printed material after it was found that the total amount of material being printed had more than doubled in recent years.

The new rules give each Councillor a limit of 5,000 copies per month, or 60,000 per year. Councillors can share their allocation with other members.

It is understood that the cap has been placed after it was discovered that People Before Profit had printed documents costing €6,325 in a four-month period.
