Arrested Over Kilrush Body Find
A man has been detained in connection with the discovery of a body in Co Clare.
The body of the 27-year-old was found outside a house in Kilrush this morning.
The victim was found shot dead in the garden of a house on O'Gorman Street at around 10.30am.
Gardaí have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with the incident after he presented himself at Kilrush Garda Station.
A firearm has also been recovered.
Gardaí said the 24-year-old was arrested shortly before 1pm and is currently being held in Kilrush Garda station under the Offences Against the State Act. He can be held for up to 72 hours.
The area has been sealed off and a Garda Technical Unit has been called in as well as the office of the State Pathologist.
It is understood the victim had been living in the area.

A man in his 20s has been arrested after a man was found dead at a house in Co Kildare on Tuesday night. The victim, in his 30s, was found with head injuries at Willowborok Park in Celbridge at around 8.50pm. He was pronounced dead shortly before 10.30pm.

Gardai are investigating the shooting of a man at a house in Co Cavan this morning. The 33-year-old victim is understood to have been in bed at the house in the Kilconny area of Belturbet when two men entered the room and shot him.

Man Arrested Following Cannabis Find
A man has been arrested following the discovery of cannabis plants in the Kilclare area of Carrick-on Shannon. The plants, valued at €240,000, were recovered after a house was searched yesterday afternoon. The 44-year-old man is currently being detained at Manorhamilton garda station.

Two Arrested Following Supermarket Raid
Two men have been arrested following a raid at a supermarket in the Clarehall area in Dublin last night. At around 10.30pm, two men armed with a knife entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two members of staff, before tying them up and attacking them. The pair then left the scene with a sum of cash.
