Aer Lingus To Launch New Route To Seattle

Aer Lingus is to launch a new transatlantic route from Dublin to Seattle next year.

The flights will operate four times a week from May 2018.

Fares to Seattle start from €259 each way including taxes and charges, when booked as a return trip.

Aer Lingus said its expanding transatlantic services has resulted in the creation of 600 new jobs at the airline.

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross TD, said: "This latest announcement of a new route to North America builds on Aer Lingus’ successful strategy of expanding its Dublin Airport base into a major European transatlantic gateway. The convenience of U.S. Customs and Border Protection services at Dublin has enhanced the continued growth of Aer Lingus’ Dublin operation as a connecting gateway."
