Police question Blair for third time

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair has again been questioned by police as part of the inquiry into the 'cash-for-honours' allegations.

It is understood that further inquiries are being conducted to establish if anyone should be charged over the allegations.

All those questioned by police, believed to be over 130 people, have denied any wrongdoing.

Two of Tony Blair's staff, fundraiser Lord Levy and aide Ruth Turner, have been bailed by police.

The allegations centre on claims that honours were offered for cash.

It emereged that some of the party's benefactors, who hade made loans to Labour after the 2005 general election, were found to have been offered peerages.

Despite extensive and prolonged inquiries on the issue, no charges have been made in relation to any allegations.
