Man remanded over wife's murder

A 62-year-old man has been remanded in custody, after appearing in court charged with the murder of his estranged wife.

Harold Ingram, from Don Grove in Cannock, Staffordshire, appeared before Cannock Magistrates on Thursday, charged with the murder of his wife, 61-year-old wife Diane.

Mrs Ingram's body was found in her ground floor flat in Avon Road in Cannock on March 13.

A post-mortem revealed that she died from a stab wound to her neck.

Mr Ingram is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on June 15.

A man has appeared before Dublin District Court charged with murdering his wife. David Burke, 48, of Laverna Dale, Carpenterstown in Dublin was charged with the murder of Jean Gilbert, 46, on Thursday night. Mrs Gilbert was found injured at the couple's home on Tuesday morning.

Man Charged With Missing Wife's Murder
A man has been charged with murdering his wife who vanished nine years ago. Maureen Hale, 42, of Thames Ditton, disappeared on 22 June 1999. The body of the mother of five has never been found. Fifty-one-year-old Martin Hale was arrested on suspicion of murder and mortgage fraud on Tuesday.

Man Jailed For Life For Murder Of Estranged Wife
A 50-year-old man has been jailed for life for the murder of his estranged wife. Neil Winn, of Watts Corner, Glastonbury, pleaded guilt at Bristol Crown Court to the murder of Lisa Winn on 26 February this year at their former marital home. The body of Mrs Winn (45) was found with multiple stab wounds in the rear garden of the house.

Fijian Man Jailed For Wife's Murder
A Fijian man has been today sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his British wife in a frenzied attack. Raymond Singh, 30, was told he must serve at least 18 years by the High Court in the Fijian capital Suva. He denied killing his wife Wendy, 39, originally from Surrey, at their home in Fiji on 11 May, 2008.
