Two released in missing woman hunt

Two men arrested by police for questioning in connection with the disappearance of Bangor woman Lisa Dorrian were released without charge on Friday.

Officers conducting a search into the 25-year-old’s disappearance said the investigation had turned into a murder probe following a number of inquiries carried out by officers in recent days.

These have included the removal of a caravan from the site where Lisa disappeared after leaving a party in the village of Ballyhalbert at around 5am on Monday 28 February.

A number of premises in Ballyhalbert and elsewhere in Co Down were also searched on Wednesday as part of the investigation.

On Monday police stopped traffic one week on from her disappearance in an effort to jog anyone’s memory who may have been in the vicinity at the time.

Lisa Dorrian is described as being 5ft 4ins in height, with blonde hair and was wearing a white short-sleeved top with lettering on it, cream combat trousers and a pair of white furry moon boots.
