Maintenance Company Jobs In Crisis

Jobs are under threat at a maintenance company in Londonderry.

Up to 45 employees at McGurk and Moore could lose their jobs after the firm missed out on a contract with North and West Housing Association.

A senior manager with the company said they have written to the preferred bidder to try and keep the jobs open.

McGurk and Moore have been providing a full range of services including building, electrical, mechanical, painting, cleaning, ventilation, heating, air conditioning and security since 1975.

The company was co-founded by Colm McGurk and Pearse Moore in Co Londonderry and provides a complete range of services to the domestic, commercial and retail market.
