Dairy Kicks-Off Women's Soccer Deal

There will be plenty of sporting dates in the 'Dairy' for a leading NI business with news of a continuing sponsorship between Dale Farm and the Irish Football Association (IFA).

Dale Farm Dairies is continuing to support soccer in Northern Ireland in their third year of sponsorship, backing schoolgirls football throughout this season.

This move is to the delight of National Women's Coach Alfie Wylie.

"This is great news for schoolgirls football in this country," said Alfie.

"The growth of girls football in recent years, especially in schools, has been phenomenal and this sponsorship recognises this," continued Sara.

"I would like to thank Dale Farm for their continued support and I am looking forward to working with them throughout the season," she said.

Dale Farm is Northern Ireland's top dairy processing business and are said to be extremely proud of involvement with schoolgirls football.

Brian Beattie, Head of Marketing from Dale Farm, pictured here with Sara Booth (the IFA's Women's Football Co-ordinator) and Nigel Worthington, Northern Ireland Manager and two budding young footballers, said: "We are delighted to once again be partnering with the Irish Football Association.

"A worrying statistic is that 80% of girls drop out of all sports after 14 years of age.

"Through working closely with the IFA and creating opportunities for girls to become involved in football at a young age, we hope they will carry on playing the sport throughout their teenage years and beyond."
