Randox Teoranta To Invest €25m In Its Dungloe Plant

Randox Teoranta has announced it is investing €25m in its Dungloe plant, with the potential of increasing jobs from 66 to 540 by 2020.

The Minister of State for the Gaeltacht, Joe McHugh TD, has today welcomed the news and commended the management team for their enterprise and energy in driving forward an industry that will be competing on the world stage.

He said: "There is no doubt that this investment by Randox today will have benefits for the whole North West region. This commitment to the surrounding communities will act as a new roadmap, allowing us to position the region as a centre of excellence in the fields of engineering and life sciences. And the relationship between the third level sectors will be critical to driving forward the ambitious plans here in Dungloe.

"I would like to acknowledge the great spirit of co-operation between Randox and Údarás na Gaeltacht and I know this partnership will go from strength to strength as this development expands over the coming years. I also want to commend Údarás for their dedication to job creation over a number of difficult years and I intend to do all I can to help support this essential work."
