Police Renew Appeal For Information In North Cork Murder Investigation

Gardaí investigating the discovery of a man's body in North Cork last weekend said they suspect "foul play".

The body of 36-year-old Peter Murphy was found at his rented home outside Mallow on Saturday afternoon.

Investigators said he had suffered injuries to his head, and a post-mortem revealed "significant" internal injuries.

Superintendent Pat McCarthy, who is leading a team of 35 offices investigating Mr Murphy's death, renewed an appeal for information. He said he believes there are still people out there with vital information about the case.
