Investigation Launched Into West Dublin Shooting
An investigation has been launched following a shooting incident in west Dublin on Sunday evening.
A man, aged in his 40s, suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach in an incident in the Blakestown area at around 5.20pm on Sunday, 02 June.
According to reports, the victim is "known to garda" and the shooting may be connected to an ongoing feud in west Dublin.
It is understood that the shooting took place outside a supermarket, which has been the subject of a major forensic investigation.
Man Charged In Dublin HGV Hit-And-Run Investigation
A man, aged in his 50s, has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Dublin.
Shortly after midnight, a 21-year-old man was struck and killed by an heavy goods vehicle on the Swords Road at the Collins Avenue Junction in Whitehall.
Following a garda appeal for information a man presented himself to officers and has since been detained in connection with the fatal collision.
Thousands Expected To Participate In Trump Protests
Thousands of people are expected to protest US President Donald Trump when he visits Ireland later this week.
President Trump arrived in the UK this morning, with his wife, Melania, where they were officially welcomed to Buckingham Palace by the Queen.
Trump will spend three days in the UK before travelling to Ireland on Wednesday.
It is understood that protests are planned across Ireland.

Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
