Man Arrested Over Drive-By Death

Police in Croydon have arrested an 18-year-old youth in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting in south London, it has emerged.

Twenty-year-old Ricardo Cox, from Croydon, died on Mitcham Road in the area, on 26 November.

He had been shot twice in the drive-by shooting last Wednesday at 9.20pm in West Croydon.

Mr Cox was rushed to St George's Hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

A post mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police said the 20-year-old had been walking with another man when a car pulled up alongside and fired several shots.

Officers also said they believed the shots were fired from a dark-coloured car.

The arrested 18-year-old is being held at a south London police station.

Imran Patel, 27, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, was arrested last Saturday, on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism. The arrest followed a tip-off from the ‘News of the World’.

Man Killed And Son Injured In Drive-By Shooting
A 50-year-old man has been killed, and his son critically injured in a drive-by shooting. Two men on a motorbike pulled up outside the Euro Wine & Food store in Hornsey Road, Holloway, north London, on Sunday morning and shot the two victims before they rode off, police have confirmed. It has been reported one of the victims worked in the store.

Man killed and another injured in drive-by shooting
A man has been killed and another injured following a drive-by shooting outside a gym in Hertfordshire. The attack occurred at around 9.30am when the two men were fired upon from a passing Ford Transit van. The pair had been standing outside the Physical Limit Health and Fitness Club in Hoddesdon when they were shot.

PSNI Arrest Two Over Croydon Cops Shooting
Northern Ireland's Police Service (PSNI) have arrested two men following the shooting of a police officer in south Croydon earlier this month. On Wednesday evening the men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested at a house in south Belfast and a number of items were removed from the Lisburn Road house for examination.
