Lily Allen questioned over alleged assault
Pop star Lily Allen has been questioned by police in connection with the alleged assault of a photographer outside a nightclub.
The 22-year-old singer attended a police station in central London by appointment on Thursday.
She was later released on bail to return on a date in late July.
It is understood that Ms Allen was questioned in relation to an alleged assault on a male photographer near the Wardour club in London's Soho district on March 13.
The daughter of comedian Keith Allen, she had built up a huge following on networking website MySpace before her debut album 'Smile' was released. It topped the album chart last July.

Police Quiz Amy Winehouse Over Alleged Assault
Soul singer Amy Winehouse is due to be questioned by police over an alleged assault. A spokesman for Ms Winehouse, 24, said she would voluntarily attend a central London police station on Friday. He said she would be questioned "in connection with an alleged incident" which occurred in Camden in the early hours of April 23.

Irish comedian Dave Allen dies aged 68
Dublin-born comedian Dave Allen, whose later trademark stand-up monologues were delivered from his chair with the obligatory glass of whiskey beside him, has died aged 68. His agent confirmed today that Dave Allen had passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in West London.

GP Charged With Sexual Assault
GP, Imran Khalid Khan, has been charged with 12 counts of sexual assault, including seven relating to a girl under the age of 13. The charges relate to five alleged incidents in 2007 in Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds, and seven last year in Brandon.
