Woman bound with cables during robbery

Detectives in east Belfast are appealing for information following a robbery at a supermarket in the King’s Square area.

A female member of staff was tied up during the armed robbery which took place at around 8:15pm on Monday morning. One of the men restrained the woman and the other bound her hands and feet with cable ties.

Two men, who were both wearing dust masks burst into the office at the supermarket and filled a rucksack with a substantial amount of cash.

One of the assailants has been described as being 5ft 8ins tall and about 20 to 25 years old. He was wearing a fluorescent jacket, dust mask and monkey hat.

Another man was aged around 18, of thin build, wearing a fluorescent bib a dust mask and a beanie hat.

On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Class B controlled drugs were recovered from both vehicles which were also subsequently seized.

Four Men Sentenced Over Co Antrim ATM Thefts
Four men have been sentenced in connection with a series of ATM thefts in the County Antrim area over four years ago. The investigation related to a number of ATM thefts between 27th October 2018 and 6th December 2019, including the theft of two cash machines at a supermarket on Castle Way in Antrim.

Renewed Appeal For Help Tracing Missing Woman Paula Elliott
The PSNI have issued a fresh appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of high-risk missing person Paula Elliott, who has now not been seen for three weeks. Paula, 52, was last seen on Tuesday 5th March on CCTV cameras leaving the Sprucefield Court area of Lisburn at 5.30pm, before making her way to Warren Gardens at around 5.36pm.
