Bodies of missing men discovered at Tyrone lake

Police have discovered the bodies of two missing men during a search near a beauty spot in County Tyrone.

Barry McGlade, 20, from Omagh, County Tyrone and Nicholas Jamieson, 24, from Walkinstown in Dublin were last seen on Saturday.

They were found at Gortin Lakes in west Tyrone on Tuesday following an operation by a team of police divers.

The men were last seen carrying backpacks in the area of the small lakes in the Gortin Glens, not far from the main road to Omagh.

The alarm was raised after they failed to return to their homes. Post mortem examinations have been carried out and an inquest is due to be held at a later date.

Police have said they do not suspect a crime was committed.
