Baby's body discovered during raid

A baby's body was found at a house in Oxford, after police went to investigate reports of an alleged sexual assault on a teenage girl, it has been revealed.

Officers were called to an address in Cowley around 4:30am on Saturday morning, following a report of an alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl.

While dealing with the allegation at the house, officers found the body of an eight-month-old boy.

A post-mortem is due to take place on the child. The circumstances of the death are not yet known and a formal identification has not yet taken place.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and child neglect. He has been released on police bail.

GP Charged With Sexual Assault
GP, Imran Khalid Khan, has been charged with 12 counts of sexual assault, including seven relating to a girl under the age of 13. The charges relate to five alleged incidents in 2007 in Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds, and seven last year in Brandon.

Robinho Cleared Of Rape Charges
Manchester City footballer Robinho will not face any charges after serious sexual assault claims, police have said. The Brazil international, who had spoken to West Yorkshire Police over an alleged incident at the Space nightclub in Leeds, had strenuously denied any wrongdoing.

Rolf Harris To Face 13 Charges Over Child Sexual Abuse
Rolf Harris will appear in Westminster Magistrates' Court on September 23 to face nine charges of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of children, police have announced. Six of the charges relate to the indecent assault of a fifteen-year-old girl in 1980 and three to a fourteen-year-old girl in 1986.
