Two released in doorman killing case
Two men have been released in the investigation of the murder of a man who was shot while sleeping in his bed in County Londonderry.
Earlier three people, all from the Derry area, arrested on Monday morning in relation to the incident, have since been released without charge.
Brian McGlynn, 28, was in bed in his home in the Fountain Hill area of the Waterside when two men entered at about 3:30am on Sunday.
He was shot several times. His 24-year-old girlfriend who was also in the room was uninjured.
Mr McGlynn, originally from Strabane, had been working as a doorman at the Red Rooms nightclub as well as another pub in the city. Detectives are currently trying to establish a motive for the killing.
Detective Chief Inspector Jeff Smyth said the gunmen made their getaway across the Craigavon Bridge in a green Vauxhall Cavalier car.

On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Four men have been sentenced in connection with a series of ATM thefts in the County Antrim area over four years ago. The investigation related to a number of ATM thefts between 27th October 2018 and 6th December 2019, including the theft of two cash machines at a supermarket on Castle Way in Antrim.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of a burglary at residential premises in the Wilton Street area of north Belfast. Between 7.30am and around 6.25 pm yesterday, 29 January, it was reported that entry was gained to a property in the area.
