Arson family teenager dies
The teenager whose family was killed in an arson fire has died from leukaemia.
Adam Riaz, 17, was in hospital at the time of the fire at the family home in Accrington, Lancashire, in which his mother and four sisters all died.
Police believe that Adam's father Mohammed Riaz, 49, locked the doors and set the house on fire while the family were asleep.
Mrs Riaz, 39, and three daughters Saryah, 16, Sophia, 12, Alisha, 10, and Hannah, 3, were trapped in the house.
Two days after the fire, Mr Riaz died in hospital after succumbing to 50% burns.
Adam Riaz had left hospital to pay an emotional tribute to his mother and sisters.
An inquest into the fire deaths will be held next year.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.

House fire father dies in hospital
The father of the family who died when their home was deliberately set on fire has died in hospital, it has been reported. Mohammed Riaz was the only survivor of the house fire in Accrington, Lancashire in which his wife, Caneze, 39, and his four daughters - Sayrah, 16, Sophia, 15, Alicia, 10, and three-year-old Hannah - died.
