Robbers steal children's Christmas presents

Detectives have appealed for information after a robbery at a home in south Belfast at the weekend.

The incident happened at a property in McCauley Street in the Markets area of the city some time after 2am on Sunday, when a gang broke into the house, causing extensive damage in the process.

The thieves then made off with a number of girls Christmas presents as well as a sum of cash.

Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the robbery, or anyone with any information in connection with it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed in Antrim during the early hours of Monday, 18 March. The 26-year-old was walking in an alleyway adjacent to Seacash Drive at around 3.50am when he was approached by two men.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Portadown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in Portadown that it being investigated as a 'disability hate crime'. On Saturday, 24 February, at around 5.20pm, police received a report that a young man had been attacked by six teenage boys in the High Street Mall area.

Appeal For Information On North Belfast Off License Robbery
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an armed robbery at an off license in the Oldpark Road area of north Belfast yesterday evening, Monday 22nd January. At approximately 8.35pm police received a report that a man, armed with a knife, had entered the premises and threatened staff.

Renewed Appeal After Explosive Device Thrown At A House In East Belfast
The PSNI have renewed their appeal for information after an explosive device packed with nails was thrown at a property in east Belfast. The "crudely-made" device was thrown at a property in the Bloomfield Road area on Friday, 18 May. The device partially exploded and a woman who was in the house at the time was not injured but was left shaken.
