Staff threatened with knife during robbery

Shop staff were threatened with a knife during a robbery in Portrush on Monday.

At around 5:10pm a man wearing a balaclava, black sweatshirt, and blue jeans entered the Chemist shop and after threatening staff with a knife made off with a sum of money and a small quantity of drugs.

Anyone who witnessed the robbery or who has any information is asked to contact police at Coleraine on 028 7034 4122 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Meanwhile, police have released details of a cocaine seizure in Co Tyrone last week.

The drugs, which were recovered in Dungannon, have an estimated street value of about £35,000.

Details of last Wednesday's seizure on the Annaghbeg Road have only been released.

Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Ballycastle Supermarket
An investigation has been launched following the armed robbery of a supermarket in Ballycastle on Tuesday, 09 April. It was reported to police, that at around 11pm a masked man entered the Castle Street store carrying a spray bottle of an unknown substance. The man approached a cashier and demanded money, threatening them with the spray bottle.
