McMenamin returns to face Dubs

Saturday's quarter-final clash in the Bank of Ireland All-Ireland Gaelic Football Championship between Tyrone and Dublin will revive memories of the meeting in 1995 when the Dubs Charlie Redmond was sent-off in an incident-packed match.

The only survivor of that tie, in which Tyrone thought they had levelled the match, but had the crucial point disallowed due to an illegal pick-up, is veteran Peter Canavan who held in reserve will not start the match.

The one change in Micky Harte's selection of the starting Tyrone line-up for Saturday is the return of Ryan McMenamin who wins back his right corner-back spot following the successful appeal against a four-week suspension.

A lingering doubt over Dubs captain Paddy Christie who was injured in the Leinster final against Laois has been dispelled and he will start at full-back, leaving the Dubs line-up unchanged for the tie at Croke Park on Saturday.
