Security guard threatened during robbery

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in north Belfast on Monday.

The incident, which occurred on the Crumlin Road at around 2pm, saw a man threaten a Securicor guard before making off with a substantial sum of money in a car, which was seen heading towards Belfast city centre. No one was injured during the incident.

This brings the total numer of robberies involving cash vans in Northern Ireland to 32 this year.

Guard robbed at knifepoint in city centre raid
Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following the robbery of a cash and transit van yesterday afternoon. At around 3.30pm, a security guard was approached by a man carrying a knife, as he collected money from a clothes store in the Castle Street area of the city.

Robbers steal £50,000 in cash from security guard
Around £50,000 in cash was stolen during an armed robbery in Belfast on Tuesday morning. The incident, which involved a Securicor guard, occurred outside a bank in east Belfast at around 10.45am. A man armed with a gun approached the guard on the Cregagh Road and threatened him before grabbing the box and making off in a maroon car.
