Five officers hurt in hit-and-run incident
Five police officers have been injured during a hit-and-run incident in west Belfast on Thursday.
One sustained ankle injuries and a suspected broken thumb when he was hit by the car at Glen Road near the Monagh bypass early this morning. Four other officers sustained minor injuries in the incident.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and has been released pending a report. Police inquiries are continuing.
Elsewhere, two pipe bombs have been discovered at an unoccupied house in south Belfast.
The devices were discovered by in a coalbunker by workmen at the back of the house in Malfin Drive, off the Lisburn Road.
Police said both devices were hoaxes and appeared to have been there for some time.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
