Sons to be witnesses at Royal Wedding

Prince William and Tom Parker-Bowles are to be witnesses at the civil marriage ceremony between the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker-Bowles, Clarence House has announced.

The couple's other children, Prince Harry and Laura Parker-Bowles will also attend the ceremony at the Windsor Guildhall on April 8. Other guests will include the Duke of York, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Princess Royal, Rear Admiral Timothy Laurence and Major Bruce Shand.

The Queen will not be attending the civil ceremony, although she will attend the blessing at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle and the reception.

The civil ceremony will be undertaken by the Superintendent Registrar, Clair Williams and will take place in the Ascot Room in the Guildhall. Prince Charles and Mrs Parker-Bowles will arrive and depart from the ceremony in a 1962 Rolls Royce Phantom V, which was previously used by the Queen Mother.

Royal Wedding postponed due to Papal funeral
The wedding of the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker-Bowles is to be postponed until Saturday, due to the funeral of Pope John Paul II. The couple were due to marry at Windsor Guildhall on the afternoon of April 8, followed by a blessing at Windsor Castle. However, it ws confirmed today that the Pope's funeral would take place on Friday morning.

The wedding between the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker-Bowles will take place on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 GMT. A church blessing at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle at 14:30 GMT, conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, will follow the civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall. A reception will follow the church blessing.
