Terror suspect takes overdose
One of the recently released terror suspects has been treated in hospital after he took a drugs overdose.
The High Court was told today that Abu Rideh, who was freed from Broadmoor earlier this month, following the introduction of the new Prevention of Terrorism Act, had been admitted to a London hospital at the weekend. He has since been released.
Mr Rideh was one of ten terror suspects who had been detained under the now-expired terror laws, which the House of Lords had ruled were illegal. The ten suspects are now subject to the controversial 'control orders', which place restrictions on the movement and behaviour of suspects, which include electronic tagging, restrictions on the use of the internet and mobile phones and house arrest, in extreme cases. They are preparing to challenge the orders in court.
Mr Rideh's solicitor Gareth Pierce, reportedly described the overdose of pills as "serious". She was also reported as saying that four of the detainees had been involved in "acute psychiatric or other medical crises".

Terror suspect hands himself into police
A man who went missing while subject to a terrorism control order has appeared in court after surrendering to police custody. Ceri Bullivant, who was previously known as 'AG', appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday morning. He had handed himself into police at Belgravia police station in London on Monday.

A wanted terror suspect, who is subject to a Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures (Tpim) notice, was last seen leaving a mosque after changing into a burka in Acton on Friday. Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed, 27, was seen in CCTV images leaving with his face and body fully covered by the Islamic garment. He is the second person to breach a Tpim.

Haroon Rashid Aswat has been accused of trying to establish a terrorist training camp in Bly, Oregon, between 1999 and 2000. Mr Aswat, 31, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, was arrested in Lusaka, Zambia last July and deported. He has consistently denied the charges.

British terror suspect held in Zambia
A British terror suspect is being held in Zambia after being arrested last week, it has been reported. Thirty-year-old Haroon Rashid Aswat, who is from West Yorkshire, is being sought by US authorities over allegations that he tried to set up al-Qaeda training camps in the US in 1999.
