Man released in missing Bangor woman case

A man arrested in connection with the murder of missing Bangor woman Lisa Dorrian has been released.

The man was released as officers searched a yard behind premises in Ballywalter at the junction with the Greyabbey Road, a short distance from the village of Ballyhalbert, where Lisa was last seen.

At the weekend, police expressed concern after loyalist graffiti was daubed on walls suggesting a link between Lisa and the Loyalist Volunteer Force (LVF).

Walls had been daubed with graffiti in Ballyhalbert linking the LVF to her murder, however, police said speculation over the case was not helpful and that they were concentrating on solid lines of inquiry.

Last Friday, two men who were arrested by police in connection with the disappearance of the 25-year-old were released without charge.

Lisa, who is described as being 5ft 4ins in height, with blonde hair, was wearing a white short-sleeved top with lettering on it, cream combat trousers and a pair of white furry moon boots when she was last seen leaving a caravan park at around 5am on the morning of Monday, February 28.

Officers investigating the disappearance have appealed for anyone with information to contact Newtownards police station on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
