Houses attacked in north Belfast

Police are appealing for information after houses were attacked in north Belfast last night.

A number of windows were broken during the attacks which occurred on the Deerpark Road at around 10.30pm on Sunday.

It followed disturbances on the nearby Alliance Avenue earlier in the day when fireworks and bottles were thrown between rival crowds.

Police wish to speak to anyone who may have seen a blue Volkswagen Passat in the area at the time of the incident.

Six police officers hurt in disturbances
East Belfast has seen another night of violence that has left six police officers injured. Shortly before midnight police in the lower Newtownards Road area came under attack from large crowds and were subjected to sustained attack from mobs throwing bricks and petrol bombs.

Police And Firefighters Attacked In North Belfast
Police officers and firefighters came under attack as they were responding to a urgent call from a member of the public in north Belfast. The incident happened in the New Lodge area on Tuesday, 02 October. A crowd of youths also barricaded roads with stolen bins which were set alight and fireworks, masonry and trees were thrown at police vehicles.

Police Attacked With Stones And Petrol Bomb In North Belfast
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a petrol bomb attack on police in north Belfast in the early hours of Sunday 15 April. Officers were responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the Ardoyne Avenue area at around 1am when they came under attack from a crowd of stone throwers.

Police Appeal After Man Attacked In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following an attack in north Belfast. The assault happened in the front garden of a house in Hesketh Park at around 6.40pm on Friday, 26 August. A man, believed to be armed with a Stanley knife, attacked another male.
