Restaurant staff robbed at knifepoint

Staff at a fast food restaurant in east Belfast where left in a state of shock last night after being held at knifepoint following a robbery.

The incident occurred at Connswater Retail Park at around 10.20pm when two men entered the restaurant and demanded the contents of the till.

One of the robbers then went through a staff door into the kitchen area were he produced a knife to threaten staff before emptying the contents of the till.

The armed man is described as being in his early 20's, 5'10" in height, of slim build. He was wearing a red tracksuit top, jeans, trainer's and a pair of grey coloured industrial type gloves.

His accomplice, believed to in his late 30's, was wearing a denim jacket, jeans and a red and white checkered shirt.

Appeal Following East Belfast Robbery
Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a robbery at commercial premises in east Belfast this morning, 2 April. Police received a report that a man armed with a gun entered the business on Orangefield Lane shortly after 7am and demanded cash from staff.
