Hoax bomb alert ends in Co Londonderry

Police in Co Londonderry are appealing for information following a hoax bomb alert early this morning.

The device failed to explode and when it was later examined it was declared an elaborate hoax.

Elsewhere, a police officer has suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car in Londonderry at the weekend.
