Social-Networking Child Abuse Postman Jailed
A postman, who used Facebook and Bebo websites to abuse children, has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years.
Michael Williams, 29, from Cornwall admitted grooming and distributing indecent images, while asking some to perform sex acts over a webcam. He arranged to meet others before abusing them.
The abuse took place between 2004 and 2009.
Williams, admitted 27 charges and pleaded guilty to voyeurism and possessing indecent images.
He was described by Devon and Cornwall Police as a "predatory, manipulative and prolific offender".
So far around 500 victims have been identified, but police believe there could be up to 1,000 youngsters involved, many who have not come forward.
Williams targeted youngsters he met on his post round, on school runs as a taxi driver, and in his role as secretary of Falmouth Town Football Club.
He encouraged victims to meet him in at his home, and in local parks and beaches.

Former leader of Kingston Borough Council, Derek Osbourne, has been sentenced to two years in jail after pleading guilty to 17 charges of possessing and distributing child abuse images. The 59-year-old admitted downloading nearly 2,850 images and 293 videos of child abuse.

New Allegations In Wales Child Abuse Inquiry
An independent investigation examining claims of historical child abuse at children's homes in north Wales has been published. The report is reported to have found "significant evidence of systemic and serious sexual and physical abuse", according to the BBC.

Police Hunt Man Who Skipped Bail On Indecent Images Charges
Police have appealed for help in tracing 59-year-old Ali Hasan Soyer, who failed to appear for bail after he was arrested on suspicion of possessing/making indecent images of children. Soyer is wanted for questioning by officers from the Met's Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command.

Met Combine All Ongoing Historical Child Abuse Investigations
The Metropolitan Police has combined all ongoing investigations into historical child abuse, to be led by a newly formed investigation team under Detective Superintendent Ang Scott. The force said that is has decided to combine Operations Midland and Fairbank following the discovery of a number of people and locations common to both enquiries.
