Arrest Follows Dublin Shooting

A man has been arrested in Dublin in connection with the shooting of a man on Bluebell Avenue around midnight last night.

Gardai at Kevin St and Kilmainham said they are investigating the shooting, which occurred outside a premise on Bluebell Avenue, Kilmaimham, Dublin.

A 30-year-old male was injured after the discharge of a firearm. He was removed to St James Hospital, where he was later released. A Gardaí spokesman said the man had received "superficial injuries only".

During a follow up operation involving Gardai from Kevin Street and Kilmainham a 30-year-old male was arrested and a firearm recovered. The man is currently detained at Kevin Street Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Kevin Street at 01 6669400 or to contact the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.
