'Unexplained' Baby Death Investigated

North Yorkshire Police have launched an investigation into the "sudden and unexplained" death of a 14-month-old boy. The child had been staying in a caravan at the Flamingo Land resort in Kirkby Misperton, near Malton. Police were notified of the death by Scarborough Hospital yesterday morning (September 9). The caravan where the child was found unconscious has been sealed off. The child has not yet been identified and no-one has been arrested in connection with the investigation.

Woman Killed In Motorway Collision

A woman has died after the car she was driving collided with a lorry on the M42/M40 link road this morning (September 10). The crash happened shortly before 6:30am at junctions 3/3A and involved a green Vauxhall Corsa and a white DAF lorry. The female driver of the Corsa suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male driver of the lorry was treated for shock by ambulance staff. The carriageway was closed for several hours, but has since re-opened. Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them on: 01926 415415.

Appeal Over Middlesbrough Stabbing

Police in Middlesbrough are appealing for information about a stabbing which occurred earlier this week. The attack happened in the Ulla Street/Belk Street area shortly after midnight on September 8. The 34-year-old victim was stabbed following an altercation with at least two men who were wearing dark clothing and riding bicycles. He received numerous stab wounds and is currently being treated at James Cook University Hospital. Driver Jailed For Killing A Police Officer
The driver who killed police officer Andy Duncan has been sentenced to eight and a half years in jail. Gary Bromige From South Norwood was driving over 80mph in Reigate Avenue in Sutton knocked down PC Duncan on Friday 20th September. Bromige was going with four friends to a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts shop when the officer tried to stopped him.

Thai Police 'Close To Arrest' In British Tourist Murder Case
Thai police say they are "close to making an arrest" in their investigation into the murders of British tourists Hannah Witheridge and David Miller. Ms Witheridge (23) and Mr Miller (24) were found dead on the island of Koh Tao on 15th September.

Death Of 17-Year-Old Treated As Murder
An investigation has been launched into the death of a 17-year-old boy in Brockley, south London. Nassem Galleze died after a lump of concrete was thrown at a car he was travelling in. Police said his death is being treated as murder. Police were called at 15:12hrs on Saturday, 26 September to reports of a fight on St Norbert Road, SE4.

Murder Charges Follow Toddler's Death
A man and a woman in Sheffield have been charged with murder and child cruelty, following the death of a three-year-old girl in September.
