Blair Cancels Book Launch Party

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair has cancelled a launch party for his book, amid fears that it would attract anti-war campaigners.

The move follows the cancellation of a book signing, which had been due to take place at Waterstone's in London's Piccadilly today, following protests at a signing in Dublin at the weekend.

A launch paryt for Mr Blair's memoirs, entitled 'A Journey', was due to take place at the Tate Modern in Central London, but guests have now reportedly been told that the event has been postponed.

Mr Blair's first book signing, at Easons in Dublin's O'Connell Street, was disrupted by protestors at the weekend. Demonstrators threw eggs and shoes at the former Prime Minister and one attempted to perform a citizen's arrest for war crimes.

Four men were arrested during the protests.
