Priest To Meet Families Complaining Of 'Police Harassment'
A Londonderry priest is to meet with supporters of dissident republicans who have claimed that their families are being harassed by the PSNI.
Father Paddy O'Kane from Ballymagroaty, who has previously criticised dissident republicans over recent attacks and bomb hoaxes, has agreed to hold talks with the 32 County Sovereignty Committee, which has been linked to the Real IRA.
He told reporters that he had a pastoral duty to listen to the concerns of the families and stressed that he had "no intention of entering into the political affray".
The Real IRA, which has claimed responsibility for a number of recent attacks in Londonderry, including the murder of Kieran Doherty in February.

People have been urged to be wary of scammers when booking concert and event tickets, after figures revealed that almost £300,000 was lost to ticket fraud in Northern Ireland in 2023. Data from Action Fraud shows nationally £6.7 million was lost to this type of crime. In Northern Ireland the total reported losses came in at £291,344.
