Forty News Jobs At Steel Plant
Forty new jobs are to be created by steel firm AIC Steel in Newport.
The firm will be seeking engineers, project managers, surveyors and steel fabricators for its factory in Lliswerry.
The company hopes to fill the jobs by December.
It added that it is seeking a £20m turnover by next year and plans to create more jobs and start an apprenticeship scheme in 2015.

Tata Steel To Axe 250 Jobs
Unite the union has called for government action to help Britain's steel industry as Tata Steel announced it would be mothballing its Llanwern steel mill with the loss of 250 jobs. The job losses follow last month's announcement by Tata Steel to cut over 680 jobs in Rotherham and Stocksbridge.

Pensions' Dispute At Tata Steel Ends
The pensions' dispute at Tata Steel that brought the company to the brink of the biggest industrial dispute in 35 years has ended. Members of all four unions at the company have voted to accept changes to the British Steel Pension Scheme which will keep the scheme open.

Over 100 Jobs Created By New Owners Of Former Steel Plant
Some 120 new jobs have been created at the former Rowecord steel site in Newport with the announcement that AIC Steel Group has taken over the site. The plant on Usk Way will become the AIC's new UK manufacturing hub and is expected to produce almost 20,000 tons of structural steel a year when operational.
