Man Arrested Over Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with a cash-in-transit van robbery early on Friday morning.

It is understood that a number of armed men held up the van at about 07:40am on Cork Street in Dublin, making off with a sum of money.

Gardaí have said that arrested a man a short distance from the scene and recovered a sum of money and a firearm.

A cash-in-transit employee was injured in the robbery.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses or for anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the Cork Street or Dolphin’s Barn Green area this morning to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 6669400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Man Arrested After Cannabis Plants Seized In Co Limerick
A man has been arrested after cannabis plants were seized by gardaí in Limerick. The plants are believed to be worth an estimated street value of €115,000. Gardaí carried out the planned search at a house in Bruff on Monday. The man, in his 20s, is being detained at Bruff Garda Station.
