Woman Dies Following Road Accident
An elderly woman has died following a road traffic incident in Dublin.
The victim, who was 75, was struck by a marked garda patrol car shortly before 11.30am on Thursday. The accident happened on the Fonthill Road in Clondalkin.
She was taken to Tallaght Hospital, but later died from the injuries she sustained.
The incident has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission, which has launched an investigation.
Witnesses have been asked to contact gardaí.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road accident in Co Kerry. A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road in Glenballyma in Tralee. The accident happened at about 21:45 on Saturday. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

The suspect, who is in his 40's, was arrested in the Cork area this morning, 01 June,. He is currently being detained at Togher Garda Station.

Gardaí in Tallaght have appealed for witnesses to a shooting incident at Parkhill West on Monday 18 January. Detectives are searching for a silver Volkswagen Passat that was involved in the incident. It is understood an unknown number of occupants travelling in the Passat fired a number of shots at a 06-D blue Mazda 3 containing two men.
