Arrests Follow Drugs Bust

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Finglas area, Gardaí from the Blanchardstown and Finglas District Drugs Unit searched a house in the Lanesborough area of Finglas on Thursday.

This search was carried out under Operation Anvil.

During the course of the search in excess of 200,000 Benzylpiperazine tablets (BZP) were seized.

This seizure, subject to analysis, has a potential street value of €1.17 million, while, in addition, €7,500 worth of cannabis herb was also seized.

A 20-year-old female and a 17-year-old male were arrested at scene.

They are both presently detained under section 2 of The Drug Trafficking Act at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

Three Arrested Over Drugs Seizures
Three people have been arrested after the discovery of cocaine worth almost €1.25million in Finglas and Blanchardstown. The seizures were made as the result of an ongoing operation targeting criminal activity and drug dealing in Dublin. The finds were a combination of three separate operations by specialist units in the capital.

80 Arrested In Dublin Drug Operation
Some 80 arrests have been made in the past 48 hours in a mass drug operation in Dublin. Detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit working closely with local Garda units from the greater Dublin area searched over 100 premises in the past 48 hours and arrested 80 people suspected of involvement in the sale and supply of Heroin and Cocaine.

Man Arrested Over Methadone And Handgun Seizure
Methadone worth an estimated €3,000 has been seized along with a handgun from a house in the Abbotstown area of Finglas. A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the finds, which were made by garda from Finglas and members of Cabra drugs unit during a raid on Tuesday afternoon.

Six Arrested In Garda Drug Raids
A garda operation targeting gangs involved in manufacturing drugs launched raids on Tuesday morning at 20 different address across the south east of Ireland. More than 60 officers were involved in the raids in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford. Garda said that six men were arrested in Kilkenny city in connection with the raid.

Cars Seized And Man Arrested In Limerick Operation
Members of the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) have seized a number of vehicles as part of an operation in County Limerick. A quantity of suspected cocaine worth around €20,000 was also uncovered. A 42-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning, 12 February, and is being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
