More Arrests In Sinanapayen Inquiry

Three more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Frenchman Charles Sinanapayen in Bray, Co Wicklow.

Two men and a woman in their 20s were detained in the Bray area this morning. Two other men were arrested over the weekend and the five are being questioned at Bray Garda Station.

Mr Sinanapayen was shot in the head at the apartment in Richmond Hill in Fassaroe that he shared with his partner.

The 32-year-old French man died in Beaumont Hospital yesterday from the injuries sustained in the shooting. Mr Sinannapayen's girlfriend, who was in the apartment with him at the time, was severely traumatised but otherwise unhurt.

Gardaí have recovered two shotguns and a car, which they believe were used in the attack and these are now being forensically examined.
