Donegal House Fire Claims Two Lives

Two lives have been lost following the second fatal house fire in Ireland in the last week.

Police said two people died when a fire tore through a home in County Donegal last night.

It is believed the blaze broke out around 10pm at the Killygordon property on Cavan Lower.

A Garda spokesman said two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

It was the second fatal house fire this week.

Three brothers were killed in a Louth fire on Monday morning.

James, Tony and Martin McDonagh were in their Drogheda family home when a blaze gutted the property.

Three Die In Separate House Fires
Two men and a woman have died in three separate house fires in Limerick and Kerry. In the latest incident, a man in his 60s died following a house fire in Tralee in Co Kerry. The fire broke out in the terraced house in Connolly Park at about 9.30pm yesterday. Gardaí were called to the scene at around 9.

Man Arrested Over Fatal House Fire Released Without Charge
A man arrested in connection with a fatal house fire in Dublin has been released without charge. A 44-year-old man died in the blaze which happened at a property on Oakland's Terrace, Rathgar, at around 3am on Tuesday, 21 August. It is understood the man had escaped from the fire before returning inside and suffered critical injuries.

Dublin House Fire Victim 'Critical'
A man in his 50s is in a critical condition in hospital following a house fire in Dublin yesterday afternoon. The victim was taken from the house at Decies Road in Ballyfermot with severe burns and is currently being treated at St James's Hospital.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal House Fire In Carrickmacross
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal house fire in Carrickmacross on Monday 21 March. Emergency services were called to a property at St. Macartans Villas at about 01:30. A man, aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda where a post mortem was carried out.
