Clontarf Man's Death Investigated
Gardaí are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in an apartment in Clontarf in Dublin on Wednesday.
A friend found the body of the man, believed to be in his 50s, in the apartment on Seafield Road East around 2:30pm on Wednesday.
It is understood that the body was found covered and lying on a couch and gardaí confirmed that the death is being treated as suspicious.
Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis conducted a preliminary examination of the scene on Wednesday and a post-mortem is due to take place today.
Forensic examinations are continuing today at the scene.

Man In Court Over Clontarf Murder
A 41-year-old man is due in court this afternoon charged in connection with the murder of Finbar Dennehy. Mr Dennehy, 50, was found dead in his apartment last Wednesday stabbed to death in Clontarf, Dublin. The suspect has been in police custody since Saturday night when he was arrested by Gardai at a guesthouse in Dublin city centre at around 8pm.
