Second Man Charged With Murder Of Irene White

A second man has been charged in connection with the 2005 murder of Irene White.

Ms White was found dead at her home in Dundalk, Co Louth, on 06 April, 2005. She had been stabbed to death in a violent attack shortly after returning home from leaving her children to school.

A 45-year-old man is due to appear before Dundalk District Court charged in connection with her death.

He was arrested in Dundalk on Tuesday, 30 January, on the same day that a 34-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison for Ms White's murder. The man had pleaded guilty to her murder, saying that he had carried out the crime on behalf of someone else.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
