Up To 40 New Jobs To Be Created In Dublin

Up to 40 new jobs are to be created in Dublin.

Turnkey site development and real estate optimisation company, Md7, is creating the roles at its International Headquarters (HQ) in the city.

Martin Shanahan, Chief Executive Officer of IDA Ireland, which is supporting the expansion, said: "The International HQ in Dublin plays a pivotal role in driving MD7's European growth.  The company continues to find the talent and skills necessary in Ireland with plans to greatly expand its team in response to the increase in demand for its services."

Md7 International President & CTO Mark Christenson said: "Md7's decision to continue to invest in in Ireland reflects our positive experience to date, the ease of doing business in Ireland and easy access to a talented multilingual workforce. The roles we are creating here include a range of skill sets, all of which will require third level qualifications. We have expanded in order to support the operations of our growing business and to serve our customers in Ireland, the UK and Europe."

150 New Jobs Expected To Be Created By Geoscience Ireland Companies
An additional 150 new jobs are expected to be created over the next year by the 24 member companies of Geoscience Ireland, the group has said on the publication of it's twice yearly members survey. The survey found that 42 jobs have been created across the group since July, 2015.

'Bee Highways' To Be Created Across Ireland
Sinn Féin has called on the government to ban genetically modified crops in an effort to protect biodiversity in Ireland. MEP and member of the European Parliament's Environment committee, Lynn Boylan, made the call as she welcomed a decision to create "bee highways" across the state.

20 Jobs To Be Created By Enterprise Ireland Expansion
Some 20 additional jobs are to be created within Enterprise Ireland, in a move which is forecast could create a further 1200 jobs in Ireland. The Enterprise Ireland posts have been secured by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD and are understood to be for foreign officers as the group aims to increase irish exports.
