Man Charged Over Petrol Station Robbery In Dublin

A man has been charged in connection with a robbery at a petrol station in Dublin.

Gardaí said two men, one armed with what is believed to be a screw driver, entered the petrol station on Grange Road, Baldoyle, Dublin 13 at around 4pm on Tuesday, 31 October.

After demanding cash from staff, the suspects left with a sum of monies and attempted to steal a car but failed to do so.

Gardaí were alerted and following a search of the area, one man was arrested and a sum of cash was recovered.

The suspect was detained at Howth Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

He appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice (Court 1) at 10.30am today, 01 November.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Howth Garda Station on 01-666-4900, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí following the seizure of a firearm in Tallaght, Dublin. He was arrested on the Jobstown Road at approximately 12.40am on Tuesday morning. Gardaí were alerted after a man was seen holding a weapon. The male was chased on foot and gardaí disarmed and arrested him.

Man Arrested And Firearm Seized
A firearm has been seized and a man arrested in Crumlin, Dublin. According to gardaí, they were investigating reports of criminal damage at Rutland Grove when they witnessed a row break out between a number of men. The firearm was seized from one of the men involved in the row and he was subsequently arrested.

Murder Investigation Launched After Clontarf Fire
Gardai have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a body in a house in Clontarf, north Dublin, which was destroyed in a blaze. The fire broke out around 2:30am on Thursday morning at the house on Seafield Road East. A 38-year-old man was arrested after the fire was extinguished and he was taken to Raheny Garda Station.
