Man Appears In Court Charged With Dublin Hijackings
A man has appeared before Tallaght District Court charged in connection with a series of hijackings on Monday 23 October.
The man, aged 37 and named as James Rafferty, was arrested by armed garda officers at City West shopping centre following an 8 hour long incident, during which a number of people were attacked by a man with a firearm, and a number of cars were stolen and crashed.
Rafferty was remanded in custody to appear again in court next week.
According to reports, it has been recommended that Rafferty receive psychiatric treatment as garda are concerned for his well-being.

Woman's Body Found At House In Co Meath
Gardaí in Co Meath have discovered the body of a woman at a house in Longwood. According to gardaí they discovered the woman's body at around 17:00 on Monday at a house in Edgeworth Court. An injured man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was also found at the scene and is being treated at Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Appears In Court Over Gardai Assaults
A 38-year-old Drogheda man has appeared before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court charged in relation to assaults on two gardaí in the early hours of Monday morning. The man was alleged to have assaulted the female gardaí at about 3am on George’s Street, Drogheda, Co Louth.
