Bodies Of Two Men Recovered Following Boating Accident Near Donegal

Two men have died following a boating accident in Co Donegal.

Emergency services were alerted when the body of one of the victims, a man in his 50s, was found on the shore at Malinbeg at around 10.30am on Sunday, 09 July. The body of the second man, who was in his 40s, was found a short time later.

It is understood the men left pier at Teelin in a small boat on Saturday, 08 July. However, they did not return overnight.

The bodies have been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital where post mortem examinations will take place.

Two Bodies Discovered In County Limerick
Two bodies have been discovered at a house in County Limerick. The bodies, of a man and a woman, were found in the bedroom of a house in Boolaglass at around 3am on Monday. The State Pathologist has been notified and an examination is expected to take place. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.

Man And Woman Rescued From Island After Boating Accident
Rescuers have found two people alive and recovered the body of a third off the coast of west Cork. It is understood that that two men and a woman left Schull harbour on a yacht on Wednesday afternoon but failed to return later that evening as expected. An air and sea rescue operation was launched to search for the yacht.

Man Arrested In Connection With Bodies Found On Island
Detectives investigating the discovery of two bodies on an island in Co Meath last month have arrested two men on suspicion of murder. The bodies of Eoin O'Connor and Anthony Keegan were found covered with plastic sheeting on Inchicup Island on Lough Sheelin on 26 May. They had been reported missing on 22 April.
