Man Arrested In Connection With Anthony Rogers Death

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of man in Dublin last month.

Gardai from the Detective Unit at Kevin Street and the South Central Task Force investigating the murder of Anthony Rogers have arrested man in the East Wall area this morning at approximately 7.30am this morning, 07 December.

The man is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Kevin Street Garda Station. 

Mr Rogers, who was aged in his 60s, was discovered with stab wounds on Tuesday, 06 November, at Robinson Court, Cork Street, Dublin.

He died in hospital a short time later.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Man Arrested Over Dublin Bluebell Shooting
A man has been arrested in Dublin in connection with the shooting of a man on Bluebell Avenue around midnight last night. Gardai at Kevin St and Kilmainham said they are investigating the shooting, which occurred outside a premise on Bluebell Avenue, Kilmaimham, Dublin. A 30-year-old male was injured after the discharge of a firearm.

Man Charged With Murder Of Limerick Boxer
A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of boxer Kevin Sheehy in Limerick. The 20-year-old died after he was hit by a vehicle on Hyde Road in the city, early on Monday morning, 01 July. The man charged with murder appeared at Limerick District Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to appear again on 09 July.

Cannabis Seized At Dublin Port
Customs officers have seized cannabis worth an estimated street value of €20,000 at Dublin Port. The drugs were found on Tuesday hidden in a vehicle that had arrived from Holyhead. Revenue Customs Service say that the drugs were uncovered during "routine profiling" at the port. Gardaí have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the find.

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Man Greg Ward
Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
