Drugs Seized In Series Of Raids Across South Dublin
Drugs, money and stolen property have been seized during a series of raids carried out across South Dublin City as part of Operation Thistle.
Dublin Gardaí from the South Central Division assisted by the newly formed Special Crime Task Force and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a number of searches in the south inner city this morning, 25 August.
Searches of four premises were carried out resulting in the seizure of a quantity of heroin with an estimated street value of €3,000, a substantial sum of money and other items of stolen property were also recovered including jewellery to the value of €30,000, one watch has a value of €15,000. Documents have been seized which will be forensically examined.
An Audi A3 was also seized as part of the operation.
A man and a woman, both aged in their 20s, were arrested during the operation and are currently detained at Kevin Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Two separate Gardaí operations conducted yesterday have recovered almost half a million euro in illegal drugs. In the first operation last night, Gardaí from the North Central Drugs Unit in Dublin carried out a search of a car at Bellewstown Co Meath. During the course of the search, 3kg of Cocaine was discovered.

Firearm Seized And Two Arrested
Two men have been arrested and a firearm seized in a garda operation targeting criminal activity in south west Dublin. A garda spokesman said a car was stopped on the N81 in Tallaght at about 22:00 on Monday night and a handgun was recovered. Two men, aged 16 and 21, were arrested at the scene. Gardaí said that the investigation was "ongoing".

Six Arrested In Garda Drug Raids
A garda operation targeting gangs involved in manufacturing drugs launched raids on Tuesday morning at 20 different address across the south east of Ireland. More than 60 officers were involved in the raids in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford. Garda said that six men were arrested in Kilkenny city in connection with the raid.
