Appeals Issued For Missing Men In Galway And Cavan
Gardaí in Galway have appealed for help in tracing 19-year-old Finian Varden Kenny, who has been missing since the weekend.
Mr Kenny was last seen in the area of Turloughmore, Athenry, Co Galway on Sunday, 10 July 2016.
The teenager is described as being 5'9" with brown hair and hazel eyes. It is understood that Mr Kenny wears a distinctive Alpine Lowe hat, which is light blue on and top dark blue on the bottom. He is also known to wear a scarf and ear defenders that can be mistaken for headphones. When last seen he was wearing an olive green khaki Jacket, blue cord trousers and trek style shoes.

Elsewhere, Gardaí in Cavan have also appealed for help in tracing 51-year-old Uldis Mikelsons, who has been missing from Swellan Lower, Co Cavan.
Mr Mikelsons was last seen on the morning of Friday, 08 July, leaving his home in Cavan. He is described as being 5'11" in height, of medium build, with brown hair and green eyes. When last seen Uldis was wearing brown trousers, a grey jumper and black shoes. He was carrying a blue back pack.
Anyone who has seen Uldis or who can assist in locating him is asked to contact Cavan Garda Station on 049-4368800, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line, 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

46 Confirmed Cases Of Ash Dieback
There are now 46 confirmed cases of ash dieback in the country, the Department of Agriculture has confirmed. 26 cases have been found in forestry plantations in Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Galway, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Longford, Meath, Tipperary and Waterford.

Early reports have emerged that a fireball has been seen in Irish skies eventually hitting County Cavan. Astronomy Ireland has today announced a number of visual sightings of the fireball this morning, and thought to have been a falling meteorite.

Gardaí in Dublin have appealed for help in tracing 23-year-old Kevin Kletzander. Mr Kletzander has been missing from the Beaumont area on Dublin since Monday, 12 October. He was last seen at about 09:30. He is described as being 6' 2" in height, of average build with brown shoulder length hair. He currently wears a beard and moustache.

Gardai have issued an appeal for information in connection with a 60-year-old Co Louth man, who has been missing for a week. Sean Watters of Laurel Grove was last seen in the area of Dundalk Retail Park on Tuesday 12 March. He is described as being 1.6m (5ft 4in) tall, weighing about 76kg (12 stone), with fine grey receding hair and blue eyes.
